FMR Ω 3: supporting broiler performance from the start

The first stage of a broiler’s life is critical. Gut development and immune competence play an essential role in supporting rapid growth and efficient feed conversion.

At the same time, the feed industry continues to look for sustainable and effective alternative protein sources.

FMR Ω  3, developed by Joosten – young animal nutrition, is a 100% vegetable-based, processed protein source that combines superior protein digestibility with omega-3 fatty acids.

In a study of Joosten – young animal nutrition, the effect of including 5% FMR Ω  3 in the starter diet was evaluated.

The results showed:

✓ 3.2% significantly higher average body weight during the starter phase
✓ 3.8% significantly higher average growth rate during the starter phase
✓ Significantly lower feed conversion ratio: 1.093 vs. 1.113 during the starter phase
✓ Higher daily feed intake: 98.5 g vs. 97.5 g over the total period
✓ 18 g higher body weight at day 36
✓ +0.5 g average daily growth per broiler over the total period

These results highlight the potential of 5% FMR Ω 3 in the starter diet to support broiler performance from the very beginning.
